Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Position

We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, multitasker to join our team. The ideal candidate is ambitious and has a passion for helping others. We have an immediate opening for a self-motivated individual to be the next rock star in our newly developed Outpatient Counseling Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor will provide clinical counseling to community members throughout the Metro East. The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor should have a background working with diverse populations and servicing clients of all ages, with experience with children and families preferred. This position requires excellent communication skills, crisis intervention, Illinois Medicaid Rule 132 knowledge, assessment, treatment planning, and counseling skills.

Duties

● Provide direct clinical services to clients, including individual, family, group and issue-specific/educational groups

● Assess clients’ needs through interviews and observations, develop treatment plans, and make referrals as needed to the appropriate services

● Develop, assign, and monitors individualized treatment and continuing care plans

● Develop innovative methods of delivery of services based on needs of clients

● Provide timely and accurate clinical documentation

● Conduct presentations in the community as needed to promote services within agency

● Develop networking with other social service agencies in the community

● Other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

● Excellent oral and written skills

● Clinical license (LCPC or LCSW in Illinois)

● Experience with CIS (Electronic Health Records program)

● Effective time management

● Requires the ability to adapt to stressful situations

● Respond professionally in crisis situations

● Knowledge of electronic health records

● Knowledge of billing practices and procedures for private insurance and Medicaid

Special Requirements

● Maintain confidentiality of all clients

● Requires a dependable means of transportation to meet work requirements

● Requires the ability to work necessary hours to meet the position requirements, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary

● All staff driving their personal vehicles on agency business are reimbursed their driving expense, must have adequate liability insurance in effect as well as a valid Driver’s License
