Position Description
This is a full–time exempt position that has the responsibility of addressing the human resource needs of the agency. The Human Resource Coordinator will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies and activities of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the agency’s mission and talent strategy. The ability to work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Quality Assurance, Chief Financial Officer, and other Program Directors is a must as this position serves as the agency’s Privacy Officer; responsible for HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
1-3 years direct experience in human resources required
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Quality Improvement or related field
Master’s preferred management and/or quality improvement.
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
Prior experience with ADP TotalSource and/or WorkforceNow is a plus

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn, the organization’s management systems
Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
Essential Functions
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees
Review positions, staff levels, and assess for new position need within all programs
Advertise for vacant positions; screen resumes and conducts the initial interview
Manage interview process in conjunction with the program manager and/or hiring manager
Credential and onboard new hires
Oversee the daily workflow of the human resources (HR) department
Maintain employee personnel files
Consult with Program Directors and/or the Executive Director regarding staff performance
Oversee Performance Management Process
Review employee evaluation and ensure completion of one (1) month, ninety (90) day, and annual performance evaluations
Enforce agency policies and guidelines including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave
Employee Relations, disputes, and investigations
Performance and talent management
Productivity, recognition, and employee engagement
Occupational health and safety of employees
Training and development
Conduct and present research and analysis on organizational trends including review of reports and metrics, maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Applying this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
Assist the Chief Financial Officer in developing and implementing departmental budget
Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities
Participate in PQI activities/efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of services delivered. These efforts could entail a monthly time commitment of four hours or more
Perform other duties as assigned
