Development & Communication Assistant

Position
We’re seeking a part-time Development and Communications Assistant who has an unhealthy obsession with data entry, accuracy, and proofreading? Does the misspelling of accuracy in the previous sentence make you angry? Are you passionate about helping others? Are you a social media savant? Then you might be our candidate. This is an entry level role ideal for a creative, meticulous writer in search of the perfect opportunity to gain valuable exposure to all things marketing, fund developing and non-profits.

Duties
• Sourcing posts for Facebook and other social media sites
• Researching grants and writing proposals
• Help plan and coordinate special events
• Scheduling
• Assist with mailings
• Update the agency website
• Write success stories
• Produce content for the website

Qualifications
• Familiarity with social network sites
• Strong data entry skills
• Extremely organized
• Ridiculous attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Must be able to work well with deadlines
• Exceptional work ethic
• Exemplary communication skills
• Desire to work in a fast-moving environment with moving parts and unforeseen requests
• Passion for internet marketing and strong understanding of how to communicate effectively through the use of photos, video, and text online
